Being outwardly negative on the internet should be a behavior saved for responding to negative things. I think I'm quite vocal about what I dislike! But I also think I make it clear why I have issue.
I have issues playing Fortnite because of Epic Games, and how they're responsible for sending Bandcamp down the shitter. I have issues with Generative AI Memes because I believe that GenAI is the killer of creativity and the environment.
There are also things I get frustrated about that are kind of me-things, so I usually keep them to myself. Again, if all of my friends are playing Fortnite, I might just leave and let them have at it, only touting my line "Bandcamp Is Joining Epic Games" when they say I should join them. When my friends who are partners get in a spirited discussion about a topic I can't participate in? It's also not really something I'd complain about outwardly, it's a me thing.
Lately I've definitely been seeing some misuse of negativity, like complaining about the bluesky culture being "too childish and kind", or saying you've distanced yourself from a community because they're talking about "fucking Pokemon Cards" too much. This is bad behavior! If you are frustrated by seeing other people happy, that's a problem.
